TD Epoxy Flooring installs metallic epoxy floors across the Greater Springfield IL area. Metallic epoxy is our cosmetic system, a finish with color contrast and movement across the floor. It costs $12 to $16 per square foot and carries a lifetime warranty.
Where metallic epoxy fits
Metallic epoxy is less durable than flaked epoxy, and we tell you that plainly. Metallic belongs in basements, showrooms, and interior spaces where the floor is a design feature. For a garage or workshop that takes real traffic, flaked epoxy is the better system, and we will steer you there if that is what your space needs.
Prep is the same on every floor
A cosmetic floor depends on the same thing a garage floor does: the bond to the concrete. TD Epoxy Flooring preps a metallic install the same way we prep every floor.
Mechanical grind
Concrete grinder with diamond puck attachments. A scratch test on your concrete sets the grit. The grind opens the pore profile the coating bonds to.
Repair before coating
Every crack and chip gets filled. Spalled areas get a self-leveling repair product. Saw-cut joints stay as they are.
Metallic installs follow the same two-day standard as every TD Epoxy Flooring floor.
